My friend Kristina is a huge foodie and because of our shared love for food that is why we are really good friends. She has brought me to a handful of places. There was Thai Basil, Umami Burger, Cheeseboard, and now PORNO BAR! Yes it sounds dirty but that's what makes this place so appealing.

It was a spontaneous decision and I loved every second of it. When we were driving up to the place I didn't even notice it. The outside looked like a 90's street fight was going to break loose, the inside was like a start of a good night. ;)

When Kristina mentioned Porno's the first time I thought I heard her incorrectly because at times I do have a dirty mind; everyone has gone through it once or twice in their lifetime. Knowing myself and anyone who knew me closely in college, after hearing it correctly my curiosity light turned on and I was down to try this place. Throughout the drive to Porno's Kristina could not stop talking about their cheese corn. I was more interested in the personality this place had to offer and when we arrived I had this sensation rush over me. I was super excited to walk into this place! When we walked in it was empty; it barely opened (hours during weekdays is from 6pm-2am). We got a private cubicle and as I sat down I noticed all these Korean movie posters and graffiti. Lots of explicit content if you know what I mean ;)

The order of the night was cheese corn, wings, Porno fries, beef (bulgogi) tacos, and kimchi fried rice. We were set! Our server gave us a pitcher or tea and a pitcher of water to keep our appetite's quenched. Kristina's friend Nat showed as around the same time the food did and once I dug in the first thing that came to mind was; "This food was made for drinking!!! I need a drink!" I'm not much of a drinker but this food was transforming me into the drinker I was in my college years. The cheese corn was a serious foodgasm and everything else was a stick-to-your-ribs hearty. The fries were okay, the bulgogi tacos were great, and what stole the whole meal was the wings. Oh f*ck!!! The daikon radish was the perfect match with the wings. I don't know how the kitchen brewed that pairing but it was a serious PB & J pairing, too good to be true. The whole meal I was thinking about how good it would be to wash down with some soju. All night I thought about drinking and right now I'm thinking about drinking. I convinced Anthony to go on Wednesday!! I'm going to get my soju on!

The server was understanding and at the end of the meal he showed in time to give us our check. He was nice and he checked on us once, we were there for a while and I don't know if he didn't check on us because we were chatting or he didn't bother because we ended up running out of water and he never came by to check on our drinks. We'll see the second time around. I don't remember the price but I remember it was well worth the meal and the good time. There was nothing to really complain about but it could be different on a busy night, Kristina mentioned the music is a lot louder.

This place brings out the party side of the foodie in me and the more social side of me as well. Porno Bar is the shady place you want to be on your weekends and the place to have your weekends on the weekdays. This place does not help when you're on a diet so I say eat lightly and save your appetite and your calories for Porno Bar. It is worth the regrets you might have in the morning.
