The Girl Behind the Eating Utensil

Hi World!!!
I'm Jazzmin, writer of this food and semi-travel blog. I started this because when I went to college I tried out so many places and I cooked a lot as well. Immersed in cooking and traveling I thought of writing down my adventures in my journal.

Then one day I was planning a trip for Las Vegas, I thought this would be the best time to share my adventures with everyone out there despite being a Yelper and doing reviews on Trip Advisor. Since Google is starting to become the epicenter of all information I decided to do this blog to reach the masses. I'm not trying to impress by fancy web design and what not, it's really about the words and the pictures. If you're here to be dazzled by the design, may I suggest for you to go somewhere else. I'm keeping it simple because I don't know code but let this blog be the complexity of the life of food.

Information about myself, I am a Foodie who tries to travel and try new places as much as my budget allows me to do. I am located in the East Bay  learning and exploring the culture, especially the food culture. I moved to the East Bay for work and this decision, you can say, was a last minute one but growing up in the Ventura County you only grow so much. I am waiting for new adventures and more places to eat other than the chain types. From my experiences with life, I found out food is the safety blanket, nostalgic, and comforting thing to share. It's culture, it's memories, and it's delicious.

This past year, 2016, I obtained a job where I blogged. I love writing, therefore I love blogging and I thought having a job in blogging would be great since I got to do what I love. However. I learned very fast that instead of loving my hobby even more I was drained and disgusted. Drained from the time writing the blog the way the owner wanted and disgusted with myself on the lost of my voice. Ever since then I found little pleasure to write as well as time. Having my hobby in a monetary position was more detrimental than beneficial. Eventually I left the job and since have been taking it a day at a time to rekindle my love of blogging. Now with the new year approaching I decided to revamp what I do. I will be doing more restaurant reviews on Google Maps and more food experiences here on The Nom Nom Chronicles. There is many changes ahead which I am looking forward too which I'm elated with sharing with my readers.

With 2017 around the corner I'm ready to take my love of food in a whole new direction!!
