Earl of Sandwich: Review

What a week! It's hard to relax knowing you have a big to-do list. I know I have many places to cover and sorry for bringing "bad" news, its that I am covering some places but not as thorough as I wish. I hope those reviews, however, will still be helpful to you guys.

If there is one memorable eatery I have encountered on The Strip it would be Earl of Sandwich. It was the day of EVO finals and we were getting hungry but we didn't want to give up our seats so I went on a walk to Planet Hollywood to try the place out. When I got there the line was 10 people deep but from reviews, people have said that it goes by quickly. I asked the cashier if there was a possibility to get a regular turkey sandwich and he basically told me it's a no-go and I have to order what they have.
The line

He did suggest The Earl's Club which has turkey, bacon, Swiss, sandwich sauce, lettuce & tomato. I ordered myself a Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich (grilled chicken, bacon, sharp cheddar, avocado, lettuce & chipotle sauce). Both sandwiches came to be $5.99 each. They take orders on one end and you pay on the other end because as you go down the line you can pick up things in between. On top of that I got myself a parfait ($2.99), a bottled soda ($2.99), and a bag of chips ($1.99). There was a lot more goodies like salads cookie bites, cookies, brownies, etc. Thank goodness for self-discipline. By the time I had to pay my order was ready.

The total for everything was a little over $21. That was a really good price to buy all of that and especially since it was hot sandwiches.

I decided I can't wait to eat my sandwich till I get back to the tournament so I sat down. The parfait was great; didn't skimp on the berries and the granola gave was lightly sweetened. When I mixed it all together and I took a bite, you should have seen me. I scarfed it down, it was great. I wish I had it after my sandwich. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich was good. I expected a more hearty sandwich.

Expected more meat but it was all good

The Earl's Club was oh so delicious. I immediately regretted getting the sandwich I got. As for their chips, they were (if not as) similar like the baked lays.

I understand The Strip can really rip you off when it comes to food prices and I am very pleased to find a place that has reasonable prices, no wonder they're popular. Actually it was more than their affordable prices but it was also their speedy service. So if you're hankering for a sandwich, please don't go to Subway. Seriously, why go to Subway when you have a Subway at home? Try Earl of Sandwich and please do tell me this trumps Quiznos anyday. ^___^
