Mandarin Oriental Part 2: Checking In

I'm in Las Vegas amigos!!!

Today was a long day for Anthony and I but we made it here at MOLV! Wahoo!!! Today we started off on the wrong foot once we got here. We came in and Roma who was in the front told us our room has not been ready because there was a lot of requests we made. Those requests we made was to empty the fridge and Anthony got me a bouquet for me. We checked in around 1:30 pm and Roma told us we were going to be called once our room is ready.

When Anthony booked the room he put 2pm as the time we'll be arriving. 2:06pm hits and we go up to the desk and a gentleman said check-in time is 3pm. I was really agitated because I was hungry and I wanted to change my clothes. Yeah I was being a baby about it but I guess the heat makes you cranky at times. Once 2:15 hit, Anthony goes back up to the desk and this time (since the gentleman at the front desk sensed our frustration) was able to push forward and have our room ready. Once we got to our room our bags weren't there. We called the front and less than 10 minutes later Dean came in with our luggage. What happened next blew our minds.

Organized cooler!!

They reorganized my cooler and refilled it with ice. I thought I did a good job filling and organizing the cooler, but nope. When I called in for more questions Roma addressed me as Ms. Baruela. It was awesome!! They genuinely care about their customers. Also, I forgot to add this, when we were walking around the property everywhere we went a staff member asked how they can help us. Every single one of them helped us with a smile. We were starting to get in a good mood.

MOLV does maid service in the morning and a turn down service in the evening. Again, MOLV does small things that make a huge impact of our welcome here. They are so attentive.

This was a lot much messier when I left
They re-organized my things! They put rose petals on my bathtub. They gave me ice! (I was wondering if they had an ice machine). It is such an awesome feeling or maybe it's the alcohol kicking in. At first checking in was a little bit of a hassle but they put me in such a good mood that I feel bad about giving them a hard time later. MOLV is the epitome of excellent customer service and a great model of what I wish hotels were more like. Talk about a perfect first day in the Sin City!! Can't wait for tomorrow. Until then!! Stay classy! ;)
