Mandarin Oriental Part 5: MOzen Bistro

There has been a lot of ups and downs since we checked in at MOLV. First it was the waiting game and then they surprised us with re-arranging our cooler, adding more water to the cooler, and then during turn down rearranged my hair care products and make-up for me.

Then the next day as I was planning to take a bubble bath and this is what happened.
I wish it was a spa treated water, but that wasn't the case
What we found out was a main water pipe had burst and it affected four floors and a few odd rooms. Since the pipes had burst, there was no water pressure therefor no water. =/ We called in to see what had happened and the front informed us on the given information. As we were about to head out to the Wynn we called the front desk again to get an estimated time until the water is back to normal since we felt grimy. What they offered was a use of their spa facilities to take a shower and complimentary breakfast at MOzen Bistro (one of their restaurants on the premises). We took their offer immediately and headed for the 3rd floor.

When we got to MOzen Bistro, it felt like a calm serenity washing over me. It was quiet while the atmosphere looked lively.

We had a great time looking out at the strip. Kristy (our server) was very prompt on everything. I had coffee and even before I can get halfway through my cup there she was asking if I wanted more. After looking at the MENU and ordering Kristy asked us if we wanted to read the newspaper while  we wait. Being at the MOzen Bistro made me feel all grown up so I accepted her offer. While reading the newspaper Kristy brought out everything we would need to enjoy our breakfast.

Left: Classic American Breakfast Right: Griddle Pancakes

Soon our meal arrived and everything looked amazing; how it tasted was on a whole different level. The pancakes were heavenly; everything you wanted in a perfect pancake. It was crispy around the edges, and airy/fluffy on the inside. What took the pancake up a notch was the syrup. It was the "icing" on the pancake... sorry for the lame joke. . . actually, nope, not sorry at all. ^___^ You get four pancakes so you get your stacks worth and it was worth every bite (well on Anthony's behalf).

I had the Classic American Breakfast; which kept me full till mid-afternoon (call me fatty all you want, it's cool you're just jealous =P). I wanted to order it because I wanted to know if they'll be able to execute it very well. The eggs were perfectly made, PERFECTLY! Oh how I wish I was able to make eggs taste as good as the ones I got. The hash was cooked perfectly like the pancake; there were some crispy ones and some soft ones. The sausage and bacon were hearty; gave my sausage to Anthony after realizing that my breakfast was a little bigger than my initial expectations. Once we were done we wanted to take a nice hot shower and nap. It was filling and it was definitely satisfying.

If it wasn't free it would still be worth the $50 (this includes tax). When you think about it, who can really mess up breakfast? No one can't, but it doesn't mean you can't make breakfast extraordinary. MOzen Bistro, you were unexpected in my schedule but it was worth taking a chance with you. This is a place worth every penny, of course if we paid. STILL, every penny. ^___^ I can't wait to come back to Vegas to have you again, you made this girl and my stomach REALLY REALLY REALLY happy. ^____^
