Mandarin Oriental Part 7: Customer Service & Overview

This is the last installment of the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas or MOLV. I'm appreciate being able to share my experience with everyone who has been looking at the pictures and reading my blog. I am grateful for your support and it means so much to me to reach an small audience. I hope as the number of my posts increase so does the number of my readers.

Covering MOLV has been a big challenge for be on the part of being really thorough and being on top of updating my experience in a timely fashion. MOLV customer service wise has been awesome and when I mean awesome I mean I was in awe the whole time when problems arise for us. First it was checking in and they were cool-headed the whole time we talked to them. Then it was the pipe burst and they gave us a complimentary breakfast and an option to change rooms. Last was a leak in our room and they were able to provide the same room with no charge PLUS $50 credit towards our bill. It's been nothing but flawless.

It was more than those who helped us in the front (those who did, they are Roma and Henry). But even those who took our luggage (Saul and Christian) and filled up my cooler. For the maid who fixed my room in the morning and night, especially rearranging my things so I was able to find everything neatly when I go back during the night. There was the concierge who helped me when I wasn't able to reach someone in the front. The spa employees who walked me to their showers. For the employees who remembered me and when I called, they addressed me as Ms. Baruela.

Then the icing on top was being told a manager inspects every room before we check in to make sure everything is in top order. I couldn't remember every single persons' name but everyone was wonderful. Even down to the room itself. There was a valet closet where they would drop off newspapers or pick up your suit or shoes without disturbing you.
They respect every single person's cultural. Below is a picture of a note left in an empty drawer stating how they have different religious books (i.e. the Qur'an, Bible, etc. ) and if one would like to request the book they can call up the front desk so one can be sent to their room.

The small things they do to make you feel at home is astounding and Mandarin Oriental has really set the bar high in terms of customer service and being culturally educated when it comes to their customers. They make you feel at home and provide a place for you to have a vacation. A vacation is to have and be in a relaxed environment. MOLV has done that for me and it has made my trip so relaxing time went slow. I would wake up the next day and I did not feel rushed, I did not feel the minutes disintegrating right before my eyes.

It is a price to pay for a memorable stay. For a strip view room for 3 nights (the deal was book two nights, get a third night free) and including resort fees it came out to around $510. That is a lot of money to consider when you're on a budget but it was worth EVERY SINGLE penny. To have an attentive staff that is always willing to help you out with a smile can make a sour trip turn into the best one you ever had and this is THE best trip I ever had. I don't want to try another hotel after trying MOLV. I feel nothing comes close to the standards of MOLV. I rarely visit Vegas and I rarely get use to sleeping in a bed other than my own, but MOLV is a rarity. Thank you MOLV for making me feel at home and making me feel genuinely as a valued customer. There is no other way to show my gratitude other than by making a verbal promise to come visit you next year. Mandarin Oriental, you have set the bar high and I thank you for doing so.
