Bruxie

Bruxie Burger

Chicken and Waffle
So much delicious eateries, so little time. Bruxie is an outdoor eatery in downtown Orange and a place my brother (one of the biggest Foodies I know) recommended this place. Since it's a popular place within the area I was worried there would be a long line; nope! I decided to try the chicken and waffles, and Liege waffle and Anthony the Bruxie Burger. Then we ordered cane soda and homemade strawberry lemonade. This came to a total of $26. . . Hope this is all worth it.

It was such nice weather, sitting out in the patio. . . with sirens blasting down the street and then some cars blasting their music. . . *sigh* it's cool, getting my sandwich! Then the food arrived (servers delivered it to the table we were sitting at and they took our trash too, nice, nice), and I didn't know how to feel.

It was paying for quality but once I took a bite of my sandwich (the chicken and waffle) I felt robbed. Oh no no no, my high expectations was shot out of the sky like a duck from Duck Hunt and the dog snickering at my misfortune.

The Bruxie Burger, on the other hand, was gooood. The burger was good and the Liege waffle was dense with small chunks of sugar and it was pretty good with the maple syrup I bought (an extra dollar).

I've noticed what I've been ordering isn't as delectable as what the boyfriend has been ordering. From my miss I have learned to try something else next time. . . yes I will be back even though I was undecided about my return. Bruxie has potential in my eyes, so expect a revisit (not anytime soon. . . or maybe). If it has won people's hearts of Orange County, it has room to win mine.
