Napa Adventures Part 2: Farmstead

This is a short entry because experiencing Farmstead was short lived. After getting wine in our systems it was time to get food to balance it all. I was super stoked to go to Farmstead since it looked like it was the place to be as we were driving past it.

As we get there it looked like a place to continue your wine tasting adventure in a more cozy country kind of place. We were seated and our server was super prompt; got our menus and my jaw nearly dropped. IT WAS HELLA EXPENSIVE!!! It was near to $20-$30 dollars a plate. I bought my wine right before, so I put a big dent into my credit card. I did not want to put another one in. Kristina was able to get on Yelp and check in for a free starter which was cheddar biscuits with honey butter. Then we decided to split a side of mac and cheese.

The food came out pretty fast and our server again was very prompt. We had a feeling she knew we weren't going to order any more items. We were frugal splitting the biscuits and the mac and cheese so precisely between the three of us. Even though it was a sample of what Farmstead had to offer, it was pleasant like a warm wind blowing through a wheat field. The biscuits were a little crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The honey butter complimented the cheddar biscuits and the mac and cheese was nostalgic and it hit the spot. They paid really close attention to the ingredients they use, but at this point I almost can't tell how organic/fresh the ingredients are, or maybe I've tried so much organic ingredients since I moved up here I have the organic pallet.

The cost,I only paid for the mac and cheese which the bill came to $8.71 but if the cheddar biscuits would have been added that would be around $16 which was a lot for those side dishes between three people. It's Napa, got it, and I should have known it would be expensive. This would be a great lunch date spot since it was such a cozy-country feeling. I would go back here for my anniversary or if I won some sort of lottery. For Tuesday I have the last part of my adventure in Napa County! Keep it fancy! ^__^
