Napa Adventures Part 3: Gott's Roadside

Outdoor seating in the back and beers to the side
The last installment on this three-part-first-time adventure to Wine Country I would like to close it off with Gott's Roadside.

Gott's Roadside was before Sterling Vineyards and Kristina pointed it out as an option for us to go and try. We totally opted out to go to Farmstead and then after visiting Farmstead Gott's Roadside became the spot to try.

Dining area is all outdoors, there are heaters hiding underneath the roof to keep patrons warm as well as their food, and on top of that they have a bar serving solely beer for those completely over satisfied with drinking their fill of wine. Of course no one should mix drinks but really who is really checking. ;)

I ordered the patty melt and the garlic fries which came out  to $15. The garlic fries were BOMB-DIGGITY!!  The very first time I had garlic fries it was more garlic than I can handle and I thought I was a trooper when it came to eating garlic. Just thinking about that first time makes me feel so bad because this whole time it wasn't me! It wasn't me!!! It was the place who prepared me the garlic fries! The fries were well it's worth and for the patty melt. I would say it was a little disappointing when I mean it was almost a big disappointment. There was little beef and more bread and if you were to cheat me on my meat to bread ratio I'll get mad. I wasn't mad because I was hungry and super stoked about the fries.

Can't say I was stoked about the burger, the condiment they slathered was over powerful and it took away from the beef. Another complaint is if the patty is a certain size find a bread or bun which is proportional to it. If I asked them to take off the crust of my burger then the bread would perfectly cover the patty but even so it wouldn't change the fact that I probably ordered the wrong burger. There shouldn't be a wrong burger; I'm planning to go back and try it again, hesitant though.

In the end I would try it one more time and then give a more permanent score; still this is what it will be till next time. Maybe there won't be a next time because there is an A&W not to far down the road, so we'll see if my wallet is still crying from this past weekend's experience. Until then, happy eating!!! Or drinking to those winos out there! ;)
