Can I emphasize how much I love Orange County? I love the OC not because of the show, which I have never watched, but because every single time I go there there is something new to try. My first impressions of the OC was dramatic stuck up people and I had to slap myself out of those prejudice thoughts. When it comes to the food, it seriously cannot get any better anywhere else, hence Zero Degrees.
After AYCE with my family they brought me to Zero Degrees. There was a group of people hanging out and this was around 9pm. This place stays open late like a lot of other places, which keeps adding on to my list of why I love the OC, and when I saw what people were holding in their hands I gleefully screamed inside my head. There was so much to choose from and the person at front was kind to let me know I can try out their flavors of ice. . . cream. It was like as though Italian ice and ice cream had a kid. . . it was like frozen yogurt but more icy. Doesn't matter it tasted like the ice cream of the deities.
I ordered the boba sundae with Milk Cereal and Taro. Oh man I could see them making it and when I was waiting I noticed they had a Banksy book!!! Oh my goodness, that is so freakin awesome!!! I was falling in love even more with Zero Degrees every second I was in there. My patience was greatly rewarded and bam boba sundae front and center.
This is the Asian sundae, crafted so nicely. Oh man and eating it was divine! I wanted boba but I wanted dessert and in this cup it was all rolled into one. The milk cereal combined with the taro was an explosion of flavor with the boba and the caramel and the smoothness. . . oh yes!!! How much it cost was super reasonable (I totally forgot) and it was worth every single cent.
If I was in the OC right now I would be eating a Boba Sundae on the beaches of Huntington Beach watching the sunset or the fireworks. The OC is THE Disneyland of foodies, at least in my opinion, and Zero Degrees is like Star Tours: it's different, it's refreshing, and it's one hell of a ride.
